2 February 1836 • Tuesday
Tuesday Febuary 2. AD. 1836 Attended as usual & various duties went to the in the evening & heard an animated discourse delivered by Pres. he touched the outlines of our faith— showed the scattering & of Israel from the scriptures & the stick of Joseph in the hands of Eaphraim & The law of Eaphraim aside from that of Moses It was an interesting meeting— the spirit bore record that the Lord was well pleased!—

Wednesday 3. attended our P. <​A.​> M. & studied with & P. M.—
received many visiters— & showed the records of Abraham— blest three with a — Eld. handed in the names of seventy of his — designed for another seventy if God will—
4 February 1836 • Thursday
Thursday 4. attended & of 22 to read at 3.o clock P.M the other 23 reads at 11-o.clock the first class recit[e]s at a quarter before 10 <​Am​> & the second at a quarter before 2-p.m. we have a great want of books but are determined to do the best we can— may the Lord help us to obtain this language that we may read the scriptures in the language in which they were givn

Friday 5. Attended & assisted the committe to make arangements for supplying the third & Fourth classes with books— concluded to divide a bible into several parts for the benefit of said classes
continued my studies in the hebrew— recd. several visiters & attended various duties [p. 150]
