Tuesday May 7. 1844 At home pleasnat [pleasant] Morning—
Rode out on Prairie with 3 or 4 Gentlemen to sell them some land. at 9——
10 Munic[i]pal cou[r]t met. adjued [adjourned] till tomorr[o]w. 10 A M.
at one a severe storm of rain Comm[e]nced with wind. and I stopped at my over night.— storm abated ab[o]ut sun set.
An opposition printing press arrived at s fr[o]m ohio. as report says also that has issud a writ of ejectmnt vs all those who bough[t] land of on Bench E[ast] of the having given warrantee deeds but not having paid for the land.— [p. [112]]
