Friday May 24. 1844 with my family—
& went to .— to get indicted.— but they retund [returned]. as the Grand Jury had risen was there.— and swore vs me.—
Tarri[e]d with my family. till 6 eve went into s room. had council with & orderd city council called tomorrow.— and an protective ordinance— passed on .—
retur[ne]d to my family.— in about 1. hour central committe[e] wrote to Alderman.— corner of 4[th] & Masters stre[e]ts Pa— on election.— [5 lines blank]
rain this eve—— it has been ve[r]y plesent for some days—— [p. [131]]
