We ourselves are righteous And need not that any man should teach us; God we know, he and <heard> Moses, & some of <some> the Prophets; but us they <he> will not hear. And <they will say,> We have the Law <7/> for our Salvation, and that is sufficient for us. <7/> Then Jesus ansered, & said unto his Deciples, Thus shall ye say unto them, What man among you, having a son, and he shall be standing out, and shall say, Father open thy house that I may come in & sup with thee; will he not say, Come in my Son; for mine is thine, & thine is mine? Or, what man is there among you, when <who,>, if his Son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or, if he ask a fish, will he give <8/> him a serpent? <8/> If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your Children, how much more shall your Father who is in Heaven, give good things of <to> them that ask him? Wherefore <Therefore>, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is thee the <9/> Law & the prophets. <9/> Repent therefore, and enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, & broad <is> the way that leadeth to distruction <death<destructin,>> and many there be who go in there at; Because strait is the gate, and narrow the path <way> that <10/> leadeth <un>to life, and few there be that find it. <10/> And again, beware of false Prophets, that come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits; for do men gether grapes of thorns, or figgs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree, bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit; neither a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down and cast into the fire. <11/> Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. <10<1>/> Verily I say unto you, it is not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, that shall inter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in Heaven. For the day soon cometh, that men shall come before me to Judge <12/> ment, to be Judged according to their works. <12/> And many will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have <we> not prophecied in thy name; and in thy name have cast <out> Devils; and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I say, Ye never knew me; depart from me, ye that work [p. 13 (first numbering)]
We ourselves are righteous And need not that any man should teach us; God we know, heard Moses, & some the Prophets; but us he will not hear. And they will say, We have the Law 7/ for our Salvation, and that is sufficient for us. 7/ Then Jesus ansered, & said unto his Deciples, Thus shall ye say unto them, What man among you, having a son, and he shall be standing out, and shall say, Father open thy house that I may come in & sup with thee; will he not say, Come in my Son; for mine is thine, & thine is mine? Or, what man is there among you, who,, if his Son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or, if he ask a fish, will he give 8/ him a serpent? 8/ If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your Children, how much more shall your Father who is in Heaven, give good things to them that ask him? Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the 9/ Law & the prophets. 9/ Repent therefore, and enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide is the gate, & broad is the way that leadeth to destructin, and many there be who go in there at; Because strait is the gate, and narrow the way that 10/ leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 10/ And again, beware of false Prophets, that come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 11/ Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 1/ Verily I say unto you, it is not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, that shall inter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in Heaven. For the day soon cometh, that men shall come before me to Judge 12/ ment, to be Judged according to their works. 12/ And many will say unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophecied in thy name; and in thy name have cast out Devils; and in thy name done many wonderful works?
