Ordinance, 12 October 1844–B
An Ordinance concerning the duties of the Clerk of the Mayor’s Court
Section 1 Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of that the Clerk of the Mayor’s Court, shall issue process when required; shall adjourn causes from time to time in the absence of the Mayor; shall affix the seal of the Corporation of said , to such papers and certificates as the law may require; shall take bonds and from persons bound to keep the peace; shall perform such other duties as a Mayor’s Clerk may of right do, and be governed in his fees for services, according to the ordinance concerning fees.
Section 2 All resolutions or parts of ordinances relating to the Clerk of the Mayor’s Court are hereby repealed

Allowed the bill of Daniel Hendrix amounting to Seventy one dollars and forty four cents for assessing and collecting 2 Ward
Allowed the claim of for three dollars for collecting in 4th. Ward which was deducted on Novr. 9. 1844
Allowed Grub and Ritchie twenty five dollars and cost also an order on the Nauvoo Legion for five dollars as per report of Committee
Allowed G. Williams four dollars and four cents for Leather used in June last
January 11. 1845

An Ordinance in relation to a ferry across the
Section 1 Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of , that is authorized and licenced to keep a ferry across the at the City of in place of Joseph Smith martyr’d under the same privileges and restrictions and regulations specified in an Ordinance entitled an Ordinance to establish a ferry across the at the City of passed June 1st. 1843
Section 2 This Ordinance to be in force from and after its passage.
