After preaching I called upon the brethren to draw stone for the , and gave notice for a special for 16th. Octr. next. Adjourned the meeting about one P M on account of the prospect of rain. Judge Mc.Bride and a lawyer from were present at the meeting.
<Monday 25th.> Wet day. At home— held a conversation with the Missourian <Lawyer.>
<Tuesday 26> Held Mayors Court; and tried case “Dana vs Leeches”. No cause of action. Called at the about 6 P M, and directed the clerk to issue papers in the case “Medagh vs Hovey”. [p. 70]
