Soon after the above revelation was received, I recommenced  the translation of the Scriptures, in company with ,  who had removed to , to act in his office of scribe  to me. On the 2 11th of October a was held at ’s where I was living, at which the were instructed  into the ancient <manner> of conducting meetings, of which knowledge  the most of them were ignorant: a committee of six  were appointed to instruct the several of the  . Elders and were  appointed as two of the said Committee with the further  duty on their mission, of setting forth the condition of brs.  Joseph Smith Jr. and , that they might obtain  means to continue the translation. this conference was ad journed till the 25th October, to meet at the house of  Serenus Burnett, at in , Cuyahoga county. On the  21st first I attended a special Conference to settle a difficulty  which had occurred in Ohio on account that and Peter Devolve had abused one of s  children. myself and were appointed to go to   and settle the difficulty, which we did.
At the conference on the 25, at , 12 ,  17 elders, 4 , 3 , and 4 , together with  a large congregation attended. Much business was done,  and the four remaining Committee, authorized by the con ference at on the 11th, a were appointed and consis ted of , , and . At the request of I inquired of the  Lord and received the following
Revelation given October, 1831.
1 Behold,— thus saith the Lord, unto my servant, ,  blessed are you, inasmuch as you have turned away from  your iniquities, and have received my truths, saith the Lord  your Redeemer, the Savior of the world, even of [as many] as believe  on my name. Verily I say unto you, blessed are [you] for receiving  mine , even the fulness of my gospel, sent  forth unto the children of men, that they might have life, and [p. 156]
