June 1st. 1844
The High Council of the Church of Latter day Saints Met at the Seventies Hall agreeably to adjournment on the 1st. of June 1844 at 2 oclock P.M.

William Huntington [Sr.] in place of
Robert Stone in place of
Prayer by President
Voted unanimously on Motion of that be and is hereby appointed Clerk of the High Council—
Case 1st. Complaint brought by against Alphonzo Green for damages done by said Greens horses to ’ grass field— By advice of the parties agreed to submit their differences to arbitrators and proceeded to choose said arbitrators— chose , and A. Green choose brother Gates these two were to choose the third person by whose descision the parties agreed to abide——

Conference of Highland Branch
At a conference of the Highland Branch on the 3d day of May 1844 was cut off from said Branch: from which said took an appeal before this Council H W Miller stated that refused to be tried by said conference in consequence of the difficulty then before the conference having been submitted to arbitrators by whose decision he was willing to abide [H Kimball] Testified to the same in substance— John W Archey Testified in substance the same as the other two and further said that the other caus said Conference withdrew the hand of fellowship from said by reason of his having refused to be tried by said Conference— H W Miller stated that said and [p. 179]
